Passion for Baking!
My name is Melissa but some call me Brownie. I’ve loved baking since I was in my mid teens. I learned to bake from my late mother and my grandmother. My mom made the best banana pudding and my grandmother makes the best peach cobbler. It’s only fitting I named those desserts after them. I hope to share my family desserts with your family for years to come. ENJOY!
Handcrafted Goods
All desserts are handmade using local, fresh ingredients. I try to use in season fruits that I've either picked myself or sourced locally. I love going apple and pumpkin picking in the fall and cherry and strawberry picking in the summer! I hope to incorporate those ingredients in my baked goods for you all to enjoy.
Explanation Behind The Name
My love for baking and reading are ABUNDANT! So why not combine the two! Nooks and Brownies is a play on nooks and crannies but nook represents a little nook for reading while brownies represents the baking aspect. And who doesn’t love a good book and a warm delicious dessert? YUM
